FAQs For Online Alcohol Safety Training & Certificate

No. The Florida RVA training is a state-specific program that qualifies your establishment for Responsible Vendor status under Florida law, including legal protections for your liquor license. This course covers general alcohol safety best practices and is designed for states that do not have their own mandated program. Both are valuable – this course gives your team the knowledge and credentials to serve responsibly regardless of location.

Even in states without a mandate, alcohol safety training reduces your liability exposure, demonstrates due diligence in the event of an incident, helps your team handle real-world situations with intoxicated or underage customers, and is often required or incentivized by your insurance provider. Many operators use this training as a baseline standard for all staff.

Plan for about 2 to 3 hours. The course is self-paced, so you can work through it on your own schedule.

This certificate is commonly accepted by employers in states that do not require a state-specific alcohol server training program. If your employer has specific requirements, check with them or visit our State Requirements page to confirm what your state requires.
